Dr Sachin Shankar Gadekar is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Peace Studies at MIT-World Peace University, Pune. He has been associated with Faculty of Peace Studies, MITWPU,Pune for 2 years. He has contributed to the syllabus development of World Peace Component; Content development of sessions on WPC-1(World Famous Philosophers, Saint/Sages, Great Kings) WPC 4 (Philosophy of Science and Spirituality) and WPC -5 (Indian Tradition Culture and Heritage) modules.
He has actively been involved in training faculty members for modules developed. He has been a member of interview panel for selection of Visiting Faculty for Peace Studies. He has Chaired Paper presentation sessions at International Conference of IEEE Punecon on Innovative Technology for Humanity at MIT, World Peace University, Pune in December, 2019 and at ELTIS, Symbiosis, Pune in on The Literary Kaleidoscope: From Bookshelves to Classrooms. He has also conducted a session on Peace and Conflict Management at RYLA 2019 at Rotaract Club of DY Patil University, Pune
Dr Sachin Shankar Gadekar is an alumnus of of Tatwdnyan Vidyapeeth, Thane, A Gurukul Educational system. He has studied in Gurukal (Jeevan Pradnya Vidyalaya) for seven years. The Gurukul is being run by Swadhyay Pariwar. The student are given orientation on Indian Philosophy, Bhagvadgeeeta, Epics of Indian and modern interpretation of ancient texts. The education is under the Gurukul Education by Swadhyay Pariwar founded by Rev. Pandurang Shashtri Athwale (Dadaji). The course is for 7 years after 7th standard. The focus is on spiritual education and Indian values.
The convocation awards the student with a title called ‘Vineet’ that is humble and studied students of Indian philosophy. The degree has no affiliation to any government body. However, the aim of the Gurukul Education is fulfilled as the child is trained to understand, analyse and apply the philosophy in his livelihood.
Dr Sachin Shankar Gadekar received Ph. D.degree in English from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He has worked on the prominent branch of linguistics i.e. Pragmatics. His research is on the use of language and Conversational Principles in modern fiction in English by Indian authors.
Dr Sachin Shankar Gadekar has also completed M.Phil. from Savitribai Phule Pune University. The M.Phil. Work was based on Impoliteness in call centers with reference to their fictional representation in several novels or a few movies.The researcher had chosen a well-known and best seller author Chetan Bhagat to analyse and compare the research findings with conversations in novels.
Dr Sachin Shankar Gadekar holds Masters in English from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He has also passed the T.K.T. and BEC examination (Business English Certificate) held by Cambridge ESOL, U.K. He has worked as a language trainer at Symbiosis, English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis, Pune. He has conducted various corporate training on Communication Skills and Soft Skills.
Dr Sachin Shankar Gadekar has authored a book in Marathi titled “Vatavruksh” published in May 2018. It is a biography of Retired Principal Mr. Vijay K. Avhad.
